Infrastructure Information

The Exclaim Infrastructure is designed and managed by lsproc, but uses a large number of open source tools to make it possible. Below are descriptions of some of the tools and what their purposes are.

SwishCMS

SwishCMS is the CMS used to power the User Site and the Pastebin. It has been written from scratch by lsproc (though not purpose built), but the Pastebin module has been written specially for Exclaim. More information on SwishCMS is available from the SwishCMS website.

The Pastebin module and Exclaim theme is available from Exclaim SVN.

DokuWiki

DokuWiki is the star of the show for the Developer site, hosting all the Wiki pages. It is integrated with the Forum to provide a shared login experience, and has also been themed to the Exclaim theme. More information on DokuWiki is available from the DokuWiki website. The theme is also in Exclaim SVN.

Flyspray

Exclaim uses Flyspray as a bug tracker, which at the time is currently unintergrated with the Wiki and Forum, but still has an attractive theme. On it you can file bugs against both Exclaim and all of it's sub projects, and is also themed with a variation of the Exclaim theme, based on the Clean theme. More information on Flyspray is as always at the Flyspray website.

PunBB

The forum used is PunBB, a lightweight and fast forum fitting with the Exclaim objectives. We have installed a number of mods (modifications) to make it work better for us, namely a nice formatting toolbar, and a mod to use Akismet spam handling. The theme is also in svn, and punbb is found at it's website.

Other

This site would not be possible without a handful of other components, such as:

  • and a handful of backend tools like Subversion, OpenSSH and many more, of which we are grateful.
